Creating Community and Confidence: Inside Our Women’s Group
We believe that every woman deserves a safe space to grow, connect, and thrive. That’s why our Women’s Group is such a valued part of what we offer — a welcoming, supportive environment where women from all walks of life can come together to share, learn, and empower one another.
Held weekly, the group offers a chance for women to step away from daily pressures and focus on themselves — whether that means building new friendships, developing life skills, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation in good company.
A Safe Space for Support and Connection
Many of the women who join us face challenges such as isolation, language barriers, or adjusting to a new culture. The group offers a sense of belonging — a reminder that no one is alone. Through shared experiences, conversations, and mutual encouragement, participants find strength and confidence in each other.
Activities That Empower and Inspire
Each session is unique and shaped by the interests and needs of the group. Activities range from:
Confidence-building workshops
Mental health and wellbeing sessions
Guest speakers and community info
Arts, crafts, and creative expression
Cooking together and sharing cultural traditions
Peer support and open discussions
We also organise special events for International Women’s Day and other occasions to celebrate women’s achievements and stories.
Why It Matters
When women feel heard, valued, and supported, they are more likely to engage in their communities, pursue education or employment, and advocate for themselves and others. The Women’s Group creates a ripple effect of positivity that extends beyond the room — into families, neighbourhoods, and wider society.
